We all have different ways to achieve our business dreams. And for my business journey, I’m sharing my four ways to achieving my startup business dream. Here’s my story!

1. Dream
Since I was in High School, I’ve always dreamt of having my own business, so I took up Hotel and Restaurant Management. During this time of my life, I had already planned my future. I told myself that I will first work in a good company, save money, and then start my business.

2. Plan
When I graduated from college, I started pursuing my plan of looking for a good company; it turned out to be harder than I thought. I was disappointed because I could not save money. That’s why I was enticed to work abroad. I worked in Dubai for two years. I must say that it was one of the challenging years of my life. I experienced stress, depression, and mid-life crisis. Because of that, I decided to come back home to the Philippines and seek help and guidance from my family, especially my parents. I put my life back on track and started working as an online freelancer.

3. Save
I’ve been an online freelancer for a year now and I’m proud to say that I have been able to save money because of this. When I checked my savings, it was sufficient enough to start a small business. So, I made my business plan: to open a small food place in our Barangay.

4. Execute
In August and September, the store was renovated, and we brought necessary products and equipment. Mj’s Food Place started its operation on October 8, 2018. Hopefully, it will grow and prosper.

Life is indeed full of ups and downs, but if you really want to pursue your dreams, you should start doing it now or start all over again just to achieve it. It’s never too late to achieve your business dreams! I hope I was able to inspire you.
