The AOSD is an annual ASEAN ecommerce event involving legitimate ecommerce platforms and businesses that will offer discounts and sales promotions to both domestic and ASEAN shoppers. The AOSD seeks to facilitate cross-border ecommerce in the ASEAN region to provide continuous sales opportunities for the participating businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic, improve consumer trust in e-commerce, and promote awareness of the ASEAN identity and solidarity. Other ASEAN countries, namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam will also join the event. There were 118 Philippine participants in last year's AOSD.
In this regard, we would like to invite you, our Linker.store owners to participate in the three-day event and provide promotional discounts for shoppers. MSMEs who sell only on Facebook and Instagram will not be accepted. We enjoin the participating online stores to use ASEAN-related words for their sales promo codes for monitoring and marketing purposes.
We encourage all participants to showcase locally manufactured products as well as local brands during the event to promote greater awareness of Philippine products and instill a love of homegrown brands.
