This year’s Metro Fiesta, the annual Regional Trade Fair (RTF) of the Department of Trade and Industry – National Capital Regional Office (DTI-NCRO) goes digital to promote local and support local micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and give them access to markets through e-commerce in partnership with UnionBank GlobalLinker.
“We invite you to visit metrofiestaonlinefair.linker.store. Every purchase you make for the five days will make a difference to the lives of MSMEs. So help us spread the word. Share it with your family and friends and help us support our local entrepreneurs,” said DTI-NCRO Regional Director Marcelina Alcantara.
Metro Fiesta is a major and culminating component of the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Next Gen Program, a platform where the best and finest crafts in the processed food, wearable, and home decor sectors from MSMEs in Metro Manila are featured.
Given the growing concerns around COVID-19, the office has decided to disrupt the physical set-up this year and explore various opportunities and platforms; thus, Metro Fiest goes digital this year, promoting access to markets through e-commerce.
Even without physical interaction, the ‘Manila Experience’ is still intact as DTI-NCRO creates the Metro Fiesta website through their partnership with Unionbank GlobalLinker. MSMEs will be creating their individual LINKER.stores for free, which buyers can easily navigate through.
This will showcase the prototypes produced by the OTOP Assessment, Consultation and Triage (ACT) Program.
Metro Fiesta Online Fair will be available from December 2 – 6, 2020. Support and shop local now at metrofiestaonlinefair.linker.store
