UnionBank has launched an e-commerce platform to help small businesses go digital and grow globally, an official said.
On March 20, the bank launched UnionBank GlobalLinker, a platform that offers a personalized e-commerce store and platform that connects entrepreneurs for free, UnionBank vice president and UnionBank GlobalLinker lead proponent Dino N. Velasco said.
“Going online is the first major step for businesses to thrive on digital, but another thing that entrepreneurs should consider is the extent of efficiency that their tools deliver for them," Velasco said.
It offers an e-commerce shop at LINKER.store, which comes with inventory management and analysis tools, the bank said.
Users would also get cloud storage called eBriefcase where word files, spreadsheets and slides can be uploaded and shared within the platform.
UnionBank GlobalLinker has "Network" and "Biz Forum" features where business owners can find potential partners and customers, and to stay up to date, the bank said.
“When MSMEs have access to this digital platform, it won’t be long before they find themselves in the global scene," he said.
Firms can also save on costs by leveraging on "Biz Offers" posted on the platform.
